York RACY has been awarded a prestigious national Safer Business Award by the government body Action Against Business Crime

The award reflects the achievements of RACY in detering crime committed against retailers, and reflects the spirit of cooperation between retailers, the council and police in the York area.

Diana Golding, chairman of the RACY Steering Group and seen here holding the trophy said "We are natrually very pleased to be have recognised with this award. It's the culmination of a lot of effort from shop staff, the council and the police, and RACY is making a real contribution to the safety and welfare of Yorks residents and visitors."
